Create your own unique style

Transformation that reflects your style and mood.

Ironwood Flooring recognises that designs and trends are constantly changing.

Our aim quite simply is to assist you to stamp your own individuality under foot. Our specialist team, working alongside you, will share ideas and help you to create a unique appearance in your home or working environment.

We are excited by innovation and constantly look to combine modern technology with traditional skills and values for the best possible results.

We can help create a unique floor that can be distinctly rustic, historically elegant or modern and minimalist. Extra wide boards and variable planks are becoming favourites. Your floors can be enhanced using a spectrum of shades and colours that are robust enough to withstand the wear of everyday life. With finishes such as hard wax oils, natural oils, stains and paints you can transform your home to a space that reflects your style and mood – from the palest white and whisper greys to shades of rich mocha and graphite.

Lye and Soap/oil is alternative finish generally only recommended for Pine, Douglas Fir and Oak floorboards.

An alternative to darkened oiled floors, wooden floors treated with lye and soaps maintain their original light wood shade. Even darkening due to the effect of light is prevented by these products.

Lye finishing is an old Scandanavian tradition which adds a beautiful light colour to the wood. Lye merely opens up the grain of the wood to allow increased penetration for the finishing coats of soap or oil.

Soap provides the added protection to your wooden floor, they are available in whites and natural. The soap is very effective against dirt, even watermarks and slight pressure points can be removed by regular mopping.

An alternative to the soap finish is oil. This will provide stronger surface protection for high traffic areas. Oil is also available in whites and natural providing a very different look.

Ironwood Flooring will provide a free, no obligation survey of your floor, so if you want to find out more about how we can help please contact us.
